Hana region ...

We are in the heart of Europe. In the east, to 100 km the Slovakia border (Bratislava - 190 km), 110 km in the South the Austrian border (Vienna has - 190 km) and in North the Polish border has 130 km (Cracow - 250 Km). In the west, to 250 km, Prague (our capital), and in the east the hongrian border (via Slovakia).

It's not necessary to go so far to visit beautiful places. In one radius of 100 km, you will find 6 sites classified in the world inheritance list of UNESCO whose Olomouc has 18 km and Kromériz has 35 km. Also you will be able to visit places highly symbolic like Austerlitz (today Slavkov-u-Brna) has 50 km or Auschwitz (Poland - 200 km).

Central Moravia offers a broad cultural range on a territory relatively small. Each city has its own local colour, which reflete not only the life of today, but also the past, very rich, who goes up between the 11th and 12th century. Splendid cathedrals, baroques style churchs and monasteres are in each city and village. The beauty of the interior decorations and painting will dazzle you. Central Moravia is the department of Czech Republic with the greatest concentration of religious monuments. The importance of the religion in our area has supported in summer 1995 by the visit of the Pope Jean-Paul 2 in Svate-Kopecek (Olomouc) which is a high place of pilgrimage.

The archiepiscopal chateau of Kromériz (16th century) classified in the inheritance world list of UNESCO of which one preserved his single interior at the world thus that one of the most prestigious collection of European paintings of the 15th to 18th century (Véronese, Titien, Van Dyck, Lucas Cranach the Old).

Also the chateau of Cechy pod Kosirem (18th century - 7 km), of Tovacov (16th century - 20 km), of Prostejov (15th century - 4 km) or of Plumlov (17th century - 8 km).

Concerning the strong castles, it there of also much. We will quote Helfstyn (12th century - 35 km), Bouzov (12-13th century - 36 km) or Sternberk (13th century - 40 km).

As you can imagine it, such a past, the area also takes into account many churches, cathedrals, museums…
